I wanted to point everyone to this page: http://www.aavs.org/actionalertsSpecialAlert.html Before the deadline of November 1st. It's about the Animal Welfare Act and how the USDA is now requesting public input before it proposes the necessary new regulations. My wife seemed to put it best when she said ... Currently some birds, mice, and rats aren't included in the Animal Welfare Act and this "revision" will include them in it. Basically all you need to do to is go to the page ... http://www.aavs.org/actionalertsSpecialAlert.html ... and read, then click on the link at the bottom to submit your opinion to the USDA for consideration. Every little bit helps. Thanks!
Hi SGH, that was a brain-bender at this time o' the morning but they now have more input. Let me know the outcome
Yeah it's a little confusing ... I'm not the best writer, but my wife edited up my blog entry, so if you want to make a little more sense of it all, you can visit my blog post about it. http://www.nerddotcom.com/2004/10/animal-welfare-act-revision-new-110104.php
BTW, SGH, love the new blog design. Have you tested the broccoli-eating T-Rex with 3-D glasses? And the speeder bike in the forest too... nice
Hey thanks for the compliments on my new blog design. No I haven't tested it out with 3-D glasses, I just thought it'd look cool that way. Seems to stand out more and has a classic feel to it. And I always have to have star wars in my blog designs, and the speeder bike in the forest seemed very appropriate. Please visit my post about the back on topic ... Today is the last day to let the USDA know how you feel. Please visit my Animal Welfare Act - Revision post to find out more.
