ok,i have learnt a lot from the forum already and decided to add google advertising.
I assume 2 things,, can someone confirm these..

1)In order to SEE the adds a user would need to have java on, Right?
    2) Ad-sense is still blocked by Norton2004 ad-blocking?

    your answers appreciated.
I'm not sure if its possible to make and money from 28,000 pages with
Ad sense...but i will give it a go

    hehe GEM

It's not about how many pages you have, it's about how many visitors you have.

The user needs JavaScript enabled (not Java itself).

Yes, Norton still blocks the adds, especially set up like shawn has them on this forum. They don't show up at all for me with Norton on. Some sites they show up but are not clickable, and now more of them are becoming clickable?? I don't know why they work on some sites and not others (of course they work with norton turned off.)

the number of users (actual users, not robots) out there without js enabled is really, really, really small, by the way... I don't even think it's 1% on most of my sites.

28,000 pages is a lot of pages. I know people make a lot of money with far less pages. What you need to do is make sure your 28,000 pages have good content and are indexed well in google for their respective key terms. You may come to find that you may be spreading yourself VERY thin with that many pages because the content most people are likely to produce for such a large site is very small.

Focus on what you know and the traffic is likely to come (as well as the adsense dollars).

When I come across one again I will let you know. I think it was on SEO-Guy.com that it still works with Norton on.

Disgust - it probably varies more for non-gamers, since most people seem to have general settings with at least one spyware installed.
