Did anyone see what Randal did at the end? WHAT A BASTARD! Donald offered to hire both of them and asked Randal (who had just got hired) if he thought that he should hire Rebecca as well, and Randal basically stated that he should be the only winner, Rebecca goes home empty handed.
Yeah that was kind of crappy. Trump even said he would have been convinced to hire them both. All he had to do is say yeah she'd be great.
Yeah, Randal was a douche for doing that. Throughout the entire show they kept foreshadowing both were going to be hired (by showing the previous clips of multiple firings).
He should be fired now. As Donald said he wants the best working for him. Randall should have realized Rebecca was good for the company that just hired him. He was selfish and showed no loyalty to his new boss. In the few seconds it took I lost all respect for him. Personally I think Donald did/will hire her after the fact.
I just saw part of the last episode and I hadn't ever seen any of the other ones this season, but I didn't like that guy at all. At first he just seemed a little cocky which I was ok with, but after he just screwed the other woman out of a job I thought he was a dick. It was like he was intimidated by her. I think Trump will hire her too later.
If I were Trump I would have kicked him off as the winner. One of the reasons he won was because of his 'niceness" but still being effective. It was clear all that was going through his head is he would have to share his fame with her and they would be linked together. Although this would have no impact on his job opportunity he was being very greedy. On top of that, by him not wanting someone who was qualified to join the company because of his own issues, it showed pretty poor judgement. As others noted it seemed like Trump was ready to offer her the other job. I lost a lot of respect for mr. education at the end.
Same here. I wasn't too surprised to see Trump make the suggestion, as things seemed to be building that way, but considering how well Randall and Rebecca worked together, I was shocked that he said not to hire her. I really think he didn't want to share the spotlight, which was quite disappointing since Randall had nothing to lose by doing so.
That surprised me too. He had the opportunity to change another person's life--which would have come at no detriment to himself--but he didn't do it. He could have been gracious about it, and told Mr. Trump that he should definitely not let her get away. I am hoping Randal has a change of heart later, perhaps talking with Mr. Trump privately, indicating that he would retain the title of "The Apprentice" and the six-figure income, but that Rebecca is too valuable to lose, and that she should be given the project she was interested in, perhaps with a smaller salary. Or maybe Mr. Trump will simply TELL Randal he took his advice into consideration, but he is going to hire Rebecca anyhow.
I was 50-50 on which one to root for until the end. But I lost all respect for Randal when he cost her a job with his final comments. So I found it poetic justice when "Mr. Awesome Education" made a fool of himself on national TV by his statement that Mr. Trump was choosing the "Apprentice, not Apprenti." The correct plural, of course, is "apprentices." You would think a guy with the oft-touted "five academic degrees" would know that. Indeed, the old proverb is true that pride goes before a fall.
I find it amusing that Trump constantly cuts people off mid-sentence, it seems that he wants to make sure that everyone knows he is the dominant figure in everything. But after thinking about it I dont feel as bad for Rebecca as I did, after being a finalist on a show like the Apprentice Im sure she is getting job offers from fortune 500 companies on a daily basis.
