Hi guys, I am very curious to know about any such tool available which can take URL as input and gives the ranking of that site on its all keywords on major search engines. If know any please please let me know.
GoogSpy is interesting and informative. It showed that one of my sites ranks #2 on Google for a keyword I never even thought of. (Unfortunately, according to the logs nobody seems to ever search for that term either ) I wonder how GoogSpy gets its info. Thank you for posting it, Ben5082!
Yeah, I checked mine and it showed some off the wall stuff: 1) Keyword 'topsites' rank 9 <- What does this mean? Ok, so... I went to google, keyed in topsites and click: I am neither the 9th result, nor is my site listed on page 9. A pr of 9? Yeah, and elephants are flying around the monkeys in my yard !!!! Then it showed one other search-term and the page it refers to (correctly) and no rank...? And it showed none of the OTHER keyphrases listed on my stats... I can see why it might not want to list all 1152 of them, but all it did list was 3... I'll take awstats over 3rd-party tools anyday guys, don't trust someone else with your site, not with these tools. Let me put it another way: I removed the keyphrase stats from my public statistics after it dawned on me that someone might be using these against me... So it wouldn't surprise me if tool-providers checked stats of who ran what site, then used said stats for their own benefit (and possibly your detriment). That, and I don't feel real hot about Webposition, I think it's a spam tool can get you banned or hurt you bad. The mere way it creates doorway pages is a dead giveaway: NOTHING in that for a visitor, pure spider spam. Want to create a doorway page? A real doorway page has content and IF it ranks high, that part is coincidence. A real doorway page is just another page of the site that for some reason attracts slews and ranks in the top 5 serps. But it ranks high because the VISITORS like it ! forget the engines - build the site. Give them what they want, TONS of it = GIGS of files ! (useful would help).
Google analytics is best tool. It tells us that which keyword is on which avg position on different search engine. All you need is just know how to use it.
