I launched a website yesterday and I am already ranking for keywords in their Index. It's either a. Hard to Pimp the way I do, or b. Wayyyy to easy to get into their index. Just thought I would share.
Yeah, I would also say MSN is pretty easy. I was ranked #1 for my top website's keywords within a week. It's been a couple weeks for this site: http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=google+insider&FORM=MSNH&srch_type=0 While there are only 500,000+ results, ranking #1 for it is pretty decent for not much marketing of it. Again, yeah, MSN is pretty easy to rank on. Hopefully they will change their Algo's in the future to make it harder and more stable.
A little too fast... yeah maybe... But, frankly I find it a little bit "refreshing." There should be a balance between "too easy" and "down right ridiculous." But, as a "web developer / marketer / business guy," I prefer to see easy/reasonable than to see the opposite > confusing & frustrating. I find MSN & YAHOO pretty good at relevancy actually. Just a little less than 2 cents
Not surprising. My blog about Maldives Football ranks No. 1 for the keywrod "Maldives Football". It was created only few days ago .
tt seems that bill loves to get a piece of the Christmas cake in SE market the past weeks msnbot is more active than ever before and more than any of the 2 other SEs currently this months i have visits by bots: 8340 msnbot 5364 Googlebot 1500 Slurp Yahoo slurp
Yeap, I love MSN and MSN loves me, too... It was love at the first sight. Cute, isn't? Now seriously. MSN has the fastest index among all the biggest search engines. It always take them only a couple days to index my sites.
MSN is damn easy to deal with. Pick a domain name with your keyword in it, do a little keyword stuffing in your page(s) and get lots of backlinks from *anywhere*. You will be rocking in MSN!
I just change the title tag of one of my old pages and bang #1 of 94,844 for the keyword - so yeah I kinda like msn
simple answer: YOU ARE A PIMP! Just check out your avatar! You're a pimp so that's why you are already ranking!
Its just a shame the traffic pales into comparision with what you'd get for the same keyword placement in Google.
Sorry I didn't answer sooner, I don't keyword stuff, just general basic SEO. All I did was submit it to Technorati, thats all it took. I guess I should have said that in my initial post.
All it takes is good on-page SEO and inbound links with your keywords in the anchor text. That's the secret. There it's out. Not a secret anymore.
A good internal linking structure will also do wonders in MSN. Yeah, it's fast and easy, but I actually find a lot less KW stuffing sites than in Yahoo.
