Yeah msn and yahoo to a lesser extent have been slow off the mark on this one. Adsense and Adwords have been out for ages.
hi everybody, I'm not sure if you're talking about MSN offering a service for publishers or just regular ol pay per click but I can tell you we're running a pilot in the U.S. for our new PPC program (invitation only right now). if you want to apply for the pilot go here: http://advertising.msn.com/searchadv/PilotForm.asp we don't have a program for publishers yet though. sorry if i'm telling you stuff you already know, but i'm here to answer questions and i wasn't sure which program you were asking about. thanks, adCenter
I hope they allow webmasters outside the US soon into thier program. AdCenter, if you really work for msn it would be great if you are around the webmaster forums regularly to answer queries etc. That will give publishers a lot of confidence to work with the msn adsense like program.
whispering-death - i do really work for msn and i'm planning on spending a lot more time in the forums to answer questions and let you all know what's going on. i'm actually new to ms so right now i'm trying to get caught up on everything. everyone - in the meantime, keep asking questions and i'll be checking in here. if i don't know the answers myself, i will find them out and post when i know. thanks!! --adCenter
Thats just great I think, more companies need to do this and be in touch with publishers/advertisers on a regular basis.
yeah would be nice... I'm glad you came adcenter. Lotta questions are a mystery: "Why does the new MSN beta have a non-cross-browser-compatible layout?", "Why hasn't MSN made as many services as yahoo and google?", "How come MSNbot indexes me so much but yet it doesn't give me as good a rank as Google does?", "How come MSNBot indexes PHPSESSIDs which i disabled in htaccess weeks ago?". Yes and a MSN ad system would be great. Hopefully one that is VERY relevant ads (like google) and pays more (like yahoo). Like a Hybrid!!! It would put them both out of business :O.
