Are You Sick Of GOOGLE PR Updates and PR Updates Threads?

Sometimes I ask myself - why does the "Google" section of DP always has to be stuffed with PR update threads?

Arent there things more important than a mere PR export? It happens 4 times in the year in a cyclic model. What is it with all the hysteria?

It's sort of pathetic, in a way. Nobody even talks about ranking websites any more. PR is a joke.

Yes. It makes me sick seeing all those newbies going hysterical around PR updates!

I really wouldn't call them "newbies"...
There are a lot of experienced webmasters and DP members in these threads too (80% of them)

But in all fairness, those thread are easily spotted and easily ignored.

It happens every 3 months and every 3 months there are the same threads, (asking about PR and complaining about people asking about PR).

I know what rather than having lots of PR update threads why don't we all start a load of polls on who hates PR update threads the most LOL!

Why not get excited when a PR update is coming, i have 25+ sites and always get excited about the PR update, it may not have any direct effect on SERPS but its good fun and shows that the link-building i have been doing on my sites have worked

It's a yes a no for me really.

I use to reply when I could till I got tired of it. And stop reading the threads for the most part(till now, till this thread came along - had to relpy - it had a great point)

It annoys the heck out of me, when noobies ask the question without doing a search for the other 2 Google PR update threads. But not half as annoying as the So called Self Proclaimed SEO/Google PR uPdAtOrs ExPeteAsers here at DP. There must be atleast 5 of them. Then they all get shrunk by our local Pyschitrist, Minstrel for being wacked and arguementitive.

This last pr update thread is annoying because it goes around in circles so many times and in the end gets no where.

Well some people just don't have it in them to be patient, and then after the PR update threads you get the threads of "I made it I made it wooohoo"
I think there should be some new rules on that section.
