SEO Paintball Event?

Guys, what are your thoughts about having an SEO Paintball event. White vs. Black vs. Gray vs. Search Engines?

I posted the idea at the roundtable and linked to other forums discussing it (after I posted it in the forums).

This can be a blast.

I assume we would do it at a SEM conference. Just wanted to get an idea from the forum folks which is best and what time is best. Also if anyone wants to organize it...

We need to start having Digital Point paintball practices twice a week until then.

Thumbs up

haha .... what an awesome idea. was planning on attending ses in germany as my next conference ... but if there's an organized paintful tourney going on .. well that's gonna have to take precedence!

white vs. gray vs. black .... hmmm. i wear all the hats but i guess gray would be my predominant one... but by the time tourney rolls around who knows what shade it will be.

Rusty - want me to shoot you an email when we play again in Jersey? It's indoors only for the next few months. P.S. You ran into my brother last week?

This might be the wrong thread to post this in, but I don't really care.

Does anyone else think people that some people take paintball a little too serious?

If you use paintball as a verb, have names for your team movements, treat it like a life and death situation, say inspirational quotes about paintball, or build your life around paintball training then I think that's a little too serious for me. And by too serious I mean completely freaking gay.

I see paintball as an occasional fun time. I think people take it way too serious and it makes them end up looking like the guys that can't wait to go to that "bitching" all male land party on Friday. Of course like I said opinions may vary since this is a Paintball thread.

There are different types of paintball though. Although I have alwas said "lets play paintball" never "let's paintball". I compete on the national level, so yeah, it's part of my life. We dont play in the woods, we play on fields in front of crowds. Our games are broadcast on TV. At the pro level teams compete for anywhere from $30,000 to $50,000 depending on the circuit (and thats for one weekend tournament, which there are 10 throughout the year.)

It's like golf. You either play for fun, or you're grinding it out in the Amatuer circuit trying to earn your pro card.

I've never played paintball. Seems like fun though.

I usually just tackle the local kids and empty cans of spray paint (or pepper spray) in their mouths.

Yeah that's what you think paintball is going to be like. Shotting people in the face and balls with high pressured paintballs, but it's not. It's gay hand signals and "stop shooting me I'm already dead" and "don't ever come back hodgedup. In all the time we're played paintball we've never seen anyone shoot anyone executioner style or seen someone stick the paintball gun up someones rectum and empty their gun."
