I don't think there is a "best browser" as all of them have godo and bad sides. I use Opera and IE (depending if I use a laptop or my office computer). Firefox / Netscape etc are not my friends as they are so slow (sometimes)
I vote for FireFox ... its reliable and the best.. with updates... and customization options... It helps me the submit my sites to multiple directories... etc..
I knew some people would attack IE hehe, but the reason I use it on my laptop is: There are a lot of webmasters who use tools like frontpage etc to create their pages. Some functions are done for IE only, and it would be bad if one of my clients wants to show me something while on business trip and I use a browser which doesn't give me access to all their "features" so IE is sometimes a must even if its the most unsafe etc browser. However it works well for "outside jobs" Opera is my home / office option tho.
Hmmm it's either IE or FIREFOX... one of them I see this type of topic floating around the General Discussion bored once every 2 weeks...
Firefox is ok for me, but I HATE IE especially the latest version... it is so SLOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW to launch!!! Whatever the computer you use, it takes so much time to "connect"... connect to what by the way ? Definitely not Internet Explorer.
I like FireFox for daily browsing, Safari because it's fast as lightning, and Opera for the missile command widget I can play when websites are boring me.
FireFox is the best for me, it looks cool, and is very user-friendly. I used to use IE, but now it's just freakin' slow. I tried Safari, but it would mess around alot, freeze, and when I was writing something, it would automatically stop..!
Man what are you talking about!! About a week ago I downloaded Opera and I found out that it's the stupidest browser ever! When I browsed DP it was full of errors. Stick with FF, it's the fast damn browser today!
I use Firefox, but I keep that shortcut to IE on my desktop just in case I ever need it. So far, I have not needed it in the 3 years since I switched to Firefox.
