Imagine you can see an image of every restaurant,grocery... in the area you search, why would you choose another search engine?

At $10 per local business listed, its not a lot of money considering the time it takes. You have to visit the business, talk to the owner, take a photo, upload the info and photo to Google.

How many businesses can you visit/talk to/take photo/& upload data in an hour? One or Two probably.

If you are a webdesigner/internet marketer you can hit two birds with one stone. Get the business listed in Google Maps and at the same time try to sell them on your services. This way your getting paid $10 to $20/hour just to do your cold call selling. Better than getting paid nothing to do the same when you need to drum up more business.

And please note that Google pays only $2 when google approves it. The remaining $8 is when the business sends them back the postcard verifying. I am sure a high number of local businesses will not send back the postcard. Thats the catch .. at least for me. And I do not think $2 per referral is going to work.
