Another New Adsense Ad Type Coming Soon?!

Hello,

Today while working on a new project I just saw a new ad type that Google is currently testing on the small banner ads.

There is a screenshot on my blog http://www.ibrowsehere.com


What do you guys think? It will increase or reduce CTR ?

I have seen that in mine as well, if you click the show more, it will send you to another google page that has the same result as the ad link

I'm not really sure how it will affect CTR though. If someone is really interested in something they will probably be clicking it.

I guess we won't know till it's public.

I suppose the few that clicks on the show more text will click an ad also

Real benefit would probably come from people being more likely to go to more than one of the links. If not, they could end up not making the 2nd, paying click or going to "Free Widget, join today" for $0.20 on the new page instead of "Free Widget, join now" for $0.40 on your site. For the people that have it, can you turn it off?

i have seen video ad on my site, in place of large banner 336x280 not sure how we will be paid for that maybe they have system to sense the video being play or after the video run completely it will load the advertiser website. Sorry i don't have the screen capture.

After the video has been played the visitor has the option to go to the advertiser's site. You get paid if they go to the site.

Thanks, thats answer my curiosity, that must be high price click since it take up the whole zone and it should be classified as video ad with higher starting bid.

Yup, this is a new ad format currently in testing. But sometimes they are offering more links then just one below the ads. I just saw an ad with four links below it.

I think this new format will increase the CTR but may decrease the earnings. (site being two click away)

Video ads are still in there beginning stages.

When they develop into a usuality they will cost more.

Low click prices now though.

I really don't believe that this small change will affect CTR. Actually in my opninion this will make even harder to blend the ads and maybe decrease the number of clicks.

Till now I still can't get used to the new Ads by Google as an image instead of the text "Ads by Gooogle". It make your site looks busier.
