    All I know is I'd be pretty sad if some law prevented me from being married to the one I love (if marriage is what I wanted) whether they're the same sex or not. So I am not bothered by it.

    it's just a peice of paper and recognisation by society. You can make a private contract that gives you nearly all the same leagle benefits. I say nearly as in some countries married couples get tax breaks etc.

    Same sex marriage shouldn't be against the law in my opinon. No I am not gay, yes I am married. Yes it is already leagle in New Zealand.

    What exactly does it do when you legalize gay marriages? Is it mainly for the reasons of financial matters and whatever else the law regulates for marriages? I really don't ever see gay marriages being accepted by society as a whole, whether they are legal or not.
