Wow! I'd love to know how much it went for. AuctionAds was a fabulous idea, and now I belive it can truly advance (the "connection" problems were getting tiresome).

I make a small amount every month off of it, so as long as this continues, I'll be happy.

I can see the 100% earnings that publishers are currently getting will now change so that the other company can actually make some money from it as they must have spent quite a bit for it.

How are they not making money? I was always under the impression that AuctionAds having 25,000 publishers would be making a good income on the fact that ebay payouts are on a sliding scale.

So yes you'd be getting $25.00 USD Compensation per ACRU if you do between 1 - 49 Total ACRUs recruited but AuctionAds and their combined network could have 30,000+ Total ACRUs recruited meaning a $35.00 USD payout by ebay and a $10 take for themselves on each one.

I know the above is a very simplified way to put it but you get the idea.

Ayyway, congrats to Shoemoney & Dave on their sale. :)

Well, this explains the silence since July 9th. Let's hope MediaWhiz gets all the problems resolved as soon as possible.

Jeremy didnt take a cut of anything. He passed it straight to the publishers. Thats one thing he did in order to help build publishers. That would have ended eventually.

This is good news. Hopefully this means we will see a competent staff and reliability to AA in the near future. They have a money making machine as soon as they get it working properly. AA should be able to hit the top tier of 75% revenue (once AA works) and if they pay out 65-70% that would be great. Most affiliates would be unable to get more than 60% on their own, so anything extra is a bonus.

I think what'd happen is you're paying to enter a stronger bracket.

    http://affiliates.ebay.com/odcs/custom.htm?template=Payout

From the link above, assuming AA has made $3,000,000/Month. That means that they get 75% of revenue. If they pass on say 65% to the publishers, and keep 10% themselves, that's still $300,000/Month, which is more than enough for a company that size to survive with a tidy profit.

Most individuals wouldn't hit above the 60% revenue share, so it's worth doing.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed that AuctionAds isn't in the hands of Jeremy any more. It was nice to see that "one of our own" had built up a successful business in such a short period of time, and I was looking forward to see where he would take the business. That being said, I'm sure the acquisition was in the best interest for AA's growth and development.

    Congrats Jeremy. :)

I've been quite impressed with AA on my sites but the only problem as other have stated is the "timeouts" that appear far too often!

Lets hope that Media Whiz manage to fix this, it will be interesting to see how they deal with the publisher revenue situation too.

I'm staying off the bandwagon until there is a lot of proof that it works.

Right now, I'm missing income, targeting sucks and customer service is nonexistent.

I wonder if MediaWhiz knew they were buying a lemon.

There is no news on the MediaWhiz site. No news on the AuctionAds site. Only the post on Shoemoney's site and Techcrunch. It's not April 1st... so it should be for real.

The annoucement is more of the same from Shoe. I am tired of the mushroom treatment and would have preferred priority be given to communicating with the publishers rather than his buddies at TC. They got the scoop and we got zip.

AuctionAds is/was a brilliant idea. However, the implementation will go into the biz school textbooks on how not to run a business. Shoe has made money but in the process he has sullied his otherwise good reputation. Remember all the altruism we were fed? 100% was going to the publishers and later when they built up the business, they would take a small cut. Yup, yup... tell us another. This month's payouts, if they even go out, will be one-third of what they should be.

I meant that things went bazookas starting about July 9th... outages, then targetting issues, then reporting issues. That's about one-third of the month that was normal.

OK. The outages didn't produce any sales. However, since the ads returned many publishers are seeing clicks and no earnings (including me). The big question is where is that money? Did it not come through from eBay? Or, is it with AA? With 25,000 publishers even 10 bucks a piece would be a lot of money. Who ends up with it?

We really don't know what going on 'cause we are not being told. If it were good news for the publishers, they'd be splashing it all over the web. Expect the worst.

if this is the case i would say i will start doing business elsewhere. if they have even $5 per member with 25k members thats could be part of the deal shoe made. he could just take that 125k along with the other deal he made. how much do you guys think shoe got for AA?
