    Old news. But it is cool. The only problem is that doing this for homeowners or business is much more expensive using the power plant.

    When solar panels technology do get cheap enough then people will install these kinds of things on their homes and sell the extra power back to the grid.

    If I remember correctly solar panels only collect 2 colors of light (Violet and Blue?). Just imagine a solar panel that would collect the rest of the colors of the spectrum, one roof would probably power the equivalent of 3 times the amount of solar panels they have now.
