    This 2 week old blog has had an amazing success and is taking the blogosphere by storm. Already ranked in the Technorati top 26,000, over 300 mybloglog members and marked as hot community for the last 10 days, Alexa has been reporting us under 20,000 nearly every day, even got to 6000 with a 3 month average already at 130,000.
    50 original and hand written posts and 1270 real comments! We already have over 130 RSS subscribers.

    Over 6300 unique visitors and 125,523 pageviews. And we haven't even been on the frontpage of Digg or Reddit yet ;)

    Besides this traffic we also get some typos in but not as much as you'd like to think. We're also having a $500 comtest sponsored by our host going which will keep links coming in for the next month.

    A predicted pagerank 4, possibly 5 with the upcoming Google dance. With a little work and devotion, this could be a very profitable cashcow.

    Revenue Details:
    Most banners used are freebies for friends. There's a plugin which will rotate as many 468x60 banners on top of each page as you like. Each refresh shows another one. There's a text feature on the sidebar which could probably sell for $50 per spot per month.

    The first week I used Auctionads underneath each post and this made me $40, I switched to TTZ Media after a week when John Chow himself asked me if I wanted to participate.

    Traffic Details:
    Loads of word to mouth, some typo traffic and blogging communities. Google has indexed us and traffic is slowly dripping in from them now.

    Nicely done and a good laugh - can you get an approval letter or a disclaimer from John Chow that he won't sue you when the Alexa rating screams down the charts and the advertising goes through the roof?

    What is there to sue?

    I guess in the US you get sued for farting but you could just move the site to a server in a country with moderately reasonable and common sense laws.
