Before I panic and spend time checking my server, stats, and other technical issues, I would like to know if there is anybody having a very very low amount of clicks today. Thanks!
sorry i missed your topic, yes me too. 07/09 <aggregate> 86278 743 0.86% $0.00 07/10 <aggregate> 37048 60 0.16% $0.00
yyCC, I have an average of 600/700 clicks per day. This month I'm seeing lower earnings. You seem to have a similar amount of clicks per day. Do you see lower earnings too this month?
eflouret: i just started using it at the end of June, not getting much sales as you might expect, my site is not that kind of buyer traffic. Getting around less than a dollar to around $4-5~ a day so far. But i only put them on secondary spot/pages.
I was expecting earnings to suck this month (and they have). AA was so messed up in June with no ads/pictures/targeting. The effects of that take a while to happen.
Maybe its carry over from the maintainence window? http://www.auctionads.com/blog/ad-serving-scheduled-maintenance/
I'm not sure if my CTR is down or not because when I try to check stats at the AA website I get a Server Error. And on those pages that I haven't yet removed AA I get a server error message instead of ads. Nice, real nice. That certainly f's-up the look of a web page. But I do thank AA for renewing my interest in the ebay affiliate program and use of the affiliate kit. I've been replacing the AA code with editor kit code, which doesn't ever seem to have these sorts of issues. Seeing some nice earnings in my CJ account as a result.
Now that AA is back up I see my CTR is down about 60% from normal. Back to work taking off the AA code and replacing it with editor kit code.
my normal earnings per week is around $70.. last week it was $12.. my normal clicks per day are several hundred.. yesterday was 6 so far today, 3 .. i think something is broke..
The ctr issue has been fixed (no we still lost those that didn't get reported during those days). Now there is another problem, well auctionads has been down more than up. It's sick to see the iframe showing the partial "connection timeout" message on my site and other sites i came across using it. It make my site look ugly and i dont know what my visitors are going to think. You may not notice but the ads dont always load: like 1/3 times i see the ads, 1/3 times i see the "connection timeout message" and the other 1/3 is the ad block simply got skipped no blank space no ad no iframe. That's for today. It's also frustrating when everytime i thought they fixed the problem and so i put more of their ads on my pages ... after half a day it go down or partially down and i dont feel like feeding my visitor with dumb "connection timeout" block so i have to change the ads back to adsense (thank god i use a function so it's just calling a different function on the script will do) ... i think i gave enough chances "testing" it out ... and my account made $50~ since started at the end of June, not bad at all consider those are secondary spot that does not perform well with adsense. i think i am going to quit using it until i see major uptime improvement (or will just be using it only in my forum for now), let me know when it have been solid up for a week or more ... it's good and it makes money in a different way but i don't want to deal with their "growing pain" for now. It's a good program minus the growing pain.
The lack of communication is disappointing. I know someone will reply and say they're only 2 guys. But geez, how long does it take to send an email to their publishers or post an update on their blog - 2 minutes?
