Hi, I have few non-english sites. Google from last year allow adsense for this languages too. My problem is: if page contain only non english words, adsense shows different ads from my country, not necessary 100% relevant, but good and people do click it. If there are english words (ie if you embed youtube video with description in english), it shows ads in english, which of course nobody will click. My sites are quite popular, will get about 1.000.000 PV/ this month, and raising quickly. If I can get only nonenglish ads, I can earn waaaay more then now, IMHO Thanks for any advice, N.
There is a line that you can insert into your ad-code that will force the ads to be in a specific language. i'm not going to give you that code because you might get into trouble (i.e.;banned) if you use it without permission from Google. Send an email to Adsense support and they will give you that line of magic code along with permission to use it.
yes, there is something like "google_ad_lang = "en";".. I am not sure though. As Tearabite said, ask adsense support first.
never thought of changing laguage for my adsense but thise thread give me good info about it. sure it will be very useful when i want to do it in the future. thanks
That's not going to help: 'This will update the display language for your account pages as well as for online resources, such as the AdSense Support center and program policies.' It does not change the content of the ads themselves. I think that trick line is the only way (haven't tried it, hadn't heard of it, does sound useful) - though in practice I find that I personally often see Dutch ads on English pages, so google does target language based on the user a lot, even if the content is English. That's not totally foolproof though, as for instance I'm seeing English ads here on DP right now. It would be better in your case if you could just get google to only show non-English ads. Good luck with that code, would like to know how well it does.
Filter out the Youtube descriptions from the Adsense Bot. Also if the person is in a country that uses your target language, then it might show nonEnglish ads.
Count on it taking time - like a week, or two. Google takes it's time optimizing their ads anyhow, with this it's likely no different.
