I'm bound to stuff this up, so if you have worked it out, please post how and where to input the google analytics code for vBulletin.

You would copy/paste the JavaScript into the headinclude template.

Did Google release analytics for non-AdWords advertisers and/or just normal webmasters?

When you're doing that, don't forget to update your privacy policy to let your users know that you're sharing their info with Goog.

Search the index.php file for <head> and you will see where to add it.

Ah ok, yeah, I signed up, but it says they're still upgrading accounts and moving them and that it won't be online until later today. We'll see then. Thanks!

If you wanted to set up a activated vB account as a goal, where would you add the code for that?
EDIT: oh, I see..you just need to add the URL for the confirmation page, which is http://www.xxxx.com/register.php? and a string of text like this: a=act&u=8620&i=46784501

Is there anyway to do this or are we stuck with just tracking visits to register.php?

The easiest way to do it would be to add the goal tracking code to the registration_complete phrase text.

    Hey friend,

I did not quite get the question. Basically i have the forum on domain.com/forum and simply installing and configuring worked. If you have any other specific questions, the link i provided is to the vBulletin support forum and the plugin developer is also on the thread..but i guess its a simple task you already might have fixed.

    cheers
    Josh

sorry I mean when setting your profile within Google and creating your code. You have to submit the url of the forum. I wasn't sure if I should use my mysite.com which is my cms home page or mysite.com/forum/forum.php which links straight my forum pages

I dont suppose it matters too much

If you wanted to track stats on your cms as well as your forum separately, then go with /forum/ and have a listing for both.
