New System for phpLD Site of the Month

Ok, it is time to get nominations for the phpLD July Site of the Month

If you are a member of any webmaster forums, I hope you might let people know that we are starting the June contest now.

Please read the rules carefully below.
1. The winner of the July 2007 contest will be chosen because they have done an exceptional job in one or more of the following areas:
A. Site Design
B. Integration of additional or innovative features
C. Quality Content
D. Contribution to the phpLD or directory community as a whole. This last factor counts less.
2. Once voting begins, no other sites can be added to the contest. Voting will begin at least a week from now.
3. It is okay to nominate yourself.
4. Voting will be done by a panel of judges who do not have a directory in the contest this month. The judges names will not be published. It is not okay to contact a judge about a site in the contest.
5. There will be more than one round in the voting. First, we will narrow it down to 10 sites (if there are more than 10 nominations). Then 5. Then we will select a winner.

Surely people's hard work and word of promotion for the script should be rewarded. Are you really that 'cheap' ?

 

It would be cool if the directory of the month had a spot on the forum that would be valuable?

 

I've never really taken much notice of these contests, but I just presumed there was a cash prize. Surely the exposure of phpld generated by the contest deserves a cash prize for the winner.

 

Indeed. A lot of people put a tremendous effort into their director(y/ies), they always refer to the script as the one to use, and a lot of just back and forth conversational type of promotion.

To remove my post (which was the *first*) just because it asked about a prize reward post is truly pathetic.

I guess to give back to the forever hard pressing users of the script, is a bit too much for David to handle.

seems so, and it so sad how people can not nominate a directory they don't own, come on people its really sad.

 

Cmon An0n please stop asking why your post was deleted in phpld forums, it happened to me too.

Thats just a biased group acting to be nice guys.

David if he remembers i posted one query last month in his SOTM thread and the post was instantly deleted.

That thread is for nominations ONLY. You are welcome to discuss here whatever you wish. You could have posted "I love phpLD" in that thread and it would have been deleted as well. I believe I will offer a prize this time, but I'm not looking to argue over what I should or should not offer.

David likes to delete posts and threaten to ban people, just to try and make things look as if there are never any problems.

See, this is what I dislike most; the dishonesty.

 

wow how odd, ive seen my posts deleted as well before, but I didnt see a PM or anything, I also noticed someone take an idea for a mod that I was talking with someone through PM and make it into an actual mod, was very curious how the idea got out if the person I was talking to I could trust with my life, and he was seriously pissed after it was done. But of course we wont point and fingers, and no it wasnt an0n who I was talking to
