I looked at the samples and the writing is so-so. It will most likely be fine for just SEO-type stuff.

I'd stock short of saying that anyone is experienced after reading stuff like this:

A 2x2? What the hell. Is the Mustang a piece of wood now. Maybe it's me, but I don't recall seeing any of my auto mags saying that the Mustang is available as a 2x2 or convertible.

But, if anyone has used them, I'd love to see some more of the content.

To me, it's what I call "AdSense quality" content. I'd probably use it for those types of sites.

Oh, and this example is BELOW that quality level.
    http://www.throttlenews.com/news/80.html

I could rip it up, but why. Read it for yourself and enjoy all the errors and poor construction.

    :)

When I first clicked on the link, I thought it might be a porn site, lol. (the ebook ad on the far right)

I've never heard of them this post. Based on the samples, I'm not impressed. But I can't say I expected to be. Most people choose their absolute best work to display as samples, so I have to wonder, if those are the samples, what does the finished product look like?

I did the math and $250/month for 1000 words/day breaks down to $.0125/word. Getting good writing a rates that low is like finding a 2x2 Mustang. lolol! :D

I know what you mean by your "adsense ready" remark. I'm looking for a full-time write for a start-up auto blog but i need TOP QUALITY and I'm not sure if this is the right fit. Green rep left. Any other thoughts?

Addition: I just noticed a link to a content buying site in your signature. While I still agree with your comment, your disclosure probably should have been made in the post.

One of the affiliate networks I work with promotes them. I considered promoting them until I noticed typos on their front page.

    Drig,

If you're referring to me, I'm not offering my writing/editing services on this forum. Also I was properly trained to be a journalist and editor in college if that helps you any.

I didn't tell you to use them or not. Any intelligent adult can see the issues. If you're okay with the writing, use them. I honestly don't care either way.

Oh, the link. That site doesn't have any of my work for sale and it's just a small project at this point.

So, and this goes for anyone here, I'm not saying something is wrong just so you'll hire me. Plus, my rates--when I'm available--are far higher. :)

Do you need any other disclosure? :)

Well, that's good, because that article was written at a 5th-6th grade level.

You might want to make a distinction on your site as to what is and isn't your work.

    Good luck with your service.

Ill post feedback on the article's when or if they arrive.

I had to chase them up to get me an editor once I paid their site is not very customer friendly nor do they provide instruction's on what you do where to post your article info too etc.

never pay for an article up front unless you have dealt with them before ...
plus you can request samples and yes they will give you the best they had, so the best way to go about it it to give him a topic and have em write it up from scratch, then pay for it if your satisfied ..

I completely got burned with getmecontent.com - I paid $250 and they only delivered half... weeks late might I add and what I got was pure s**t... It is true what they say about "if it is too good to be true...it probably is"

Their customer service is really bad and they don't communicate with you at all. You have to open a dispute with paypal for them to talk to you.

    Do not getmecontent.com

Sorry to hear that BabyBoy. If nothing else, at least it was a learning experience for you, and hopefully others will learn from your feedback instead of having to go through it themselves.

kthor... many professional writers demand payment up front. That's not a reason not to hire them. Writers get screwed over by clients as much as clients get screwed over by writers; if not more. You just have to choose what caliber of writer you're going to work with... if you want to work with penny-per-word writers, yes, you probably have a better chance of getting screwed if you pay up front than if you went with someone charging $.30 / word (they'll likely have more experience in business and dealing with their clients, and they'll likely have a bigger reputation to protect by not screwing those clients over if they want to continue to charge professional rates). That's just life. If you want something cheap, you choose to take the extra risk, and frankly, that's precisely how it should be.

GetContent.com has produced very good results for me. They hire only US writers and deliver as promised.

    Has anyone else used GetContent.com?

agreed wholeheartedly! While I don't require clients to pay upfront, I will sometimes require a deposit, especially if I have never done business with them before. Not much, mind you, but it does a least set my mind a little at ease when working with someone, especially if there's no connection ( as in someone I did work for referred them). So far (knocking on wood) doing it that way has worked well for me. But then, I don't write for pennies either! lol
