Adbrite supporting spyware/malware....what the hell...

Discussion in 'Affiliate Programs' started by JesusLopezViejo, Jun 28, 2007.

So I run a forum with adbrite ads in the header...

When a certain adbrite advertisement appears it redirects people from my website to: http://www.winantispyware.com

This actually installs a really horrible spyware/malware trojan that is difficult to remove if you don't have the latest browser updates/security.

Anyone else using adbrite notice this?

I'm taking them down for now.

Wow, its crazy that adbrite would let something like this slip.

I'm sure if you mailed adbrite support, they'll sort it out.

I would email Adbrite about it. It's best to see what's going.

Yea man, I have users emailing me saying that my website is installing malware on their computers and then it happened to me.

I emailed them and still no response.

Yea, I got them through a 728x90 banner with no interstitials, so that is not the issue. I notified them back in the beginning of the year. They asked for a screenshot, and that is the last I heard from them. It seems they've been using the Right Media service to fill international campaigns. Oh well, same on stuff, just another network pushing it.
