Dear SEOs fellows, i am optimizing a site http://www.premiercages.co.uk related to Parrot cages, bird cages and supplies such as parrot and bird toys, play stands, feeders, air filters etc. i have also tried link exchange, but i am unable to get good PR and ranking in google, so plz guide me what to do now .
Hi vertex, PR has not been updated since a long time, so no one is getting any good PR, unless they already had one. There are PR0 people on this forum who are convinced that they will have PR9 the next time it updates. Re: Good Ranking, well you are at the right place. Please read the few thousand posts on this forum and you will be enlightened. Good Luck and Welcome to the forums Ajeet
I don't think you should do anything because Google, Yahoo etc., will be taking the pages out of the index as soon as they get the first DMCA. - Michael
What are you talking about? Those pages look fine to me... Could do with a lot more copy, but other than that, they look fine.
Hi, it will grow.... as it is a commercial page blue on blue frontpage hard to read makes people wander off.... Bit more content on home page maybe article teasers...ending with read on..... You have some great content pages BUT why do they have a standard titel and not a title pertaining to content? (e.g. parrot feet.....) There are members here running directory page info (where to submit) submit submit...... Don't worry about PR this is more or less dead. M PS It's MHO that c-card info on the front page is not important it's more important when they have checked inventory and like it to give payment info.....
http://www.premiercages.co.uk/products/category.asp?id=3 A page like this isn't optimized at all, so no ranking is no surprise. The title means nothing in relation the keywords I guess you want to rank for. There is no text, so nothing to index. The id=3 part might cause difficulties. Perhaps a little mod rewriting can help you out there. I only checked this one page, forgive me if it's an anomaly.
Not yet vertex may provide a legitamate explaination as to why all the articles appear to have been lifted from cockatoos.org.... Plagiarism & copyright. Are you sure.... - Michael
hmm cockatoos.org must be down due to the large amount of DP forum visitors checking out the alleged duplicate content. - because i can never reach it. ps before you read all the forum posts i'd suggest you hunt down some good articles to make sure you have a grip on all the basics. - ones written this year should all contain relevant info ( not saying that older ones won't - just they'll be more likely to not be relevent)
You can look in Yahoo's cache or Wayback if you are really interested. For example: Original Copyright©1996Cockatoos.Org vertex's copy Copyright © 2004, Premier Cages What odds are you giving? - Michael
Innocent until proven guilty as far as I'm concerned. A search like http://www.google.co.uk/search?q="a...s+contained+in+a+Web+site"&hl=en&lr=&filter=0 reveals that around 25 people have copies of at least 1 of those articles. But don't get me wrong. I am not defending or attacking anyone here. I am quite curious to hear from Vertex now.
The above comments aside, try reading the answers in your last post asking roughly the same question. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=3214 Links to your site = PR. Saying you cannot get links isn't helpful. If you cannot get links you need to try harder or try a different approach to the webmasters you are emailing. Jane
