Standard: Show ads evenly over time (Not Working)

Anyone else having issues over the last 1 - 2 days with AdWords burning through the entire day's budget after only a few hours?

I setup a new campaign and for the last two days the day's budget is spent by 7:00 or 8:00 am. That happened to me again today, so I doubled the budget before I went to lunch. Came back an hour and a half later and was at the budget cap again.

I have the "Standard: Show ads evenly over time" option checked and my budget is sufficient.

This appears to be the only campaign I manage that this is happening for, others appear to be adhering to the requested ad distribution frequency.

I can appreciate your frustration. Yesterday I made a new ad and started it at midnight by 2 am the budget was gone .Google actually allowed it to continue past my daily budget by 30%. It was averaging 5 clicks per minute, considering I have never come close to this budget with 15 other ads running daily I believe something went drastically wrong. I am awaiting their response to my query on it.

Still doing the same thing. It's almost 8:00am here in Chicago and today's budget is already 95% spent.

Sorry - I adjust my bids so that the budget lasts all day, so I can't help.

Not sure what the benefit of having the advert appearing randomly through the day is...

Surely you can get traffic more cheaply, running the advert all day with lower bids?

I have low bids ($0.03 and less). It really doesn't matter that the budget is getting burned through so quickly I'm just curious why it seems the option to "Show ads evenly over time" is not working.

I haven't seen it discussed anywhere else either. What's weird is this is the only campaign of mine where this is happening...and I've checked a few hundred just to make sure. I've never seen this happen in any of my accounts before.

I just logged in at 9:30 central time and only 50% of my budget has been spent for today...I'll keep an eye on it. If it cooks through my budget in no time today I'll get in touch with support and see if they have any ideas.

just talked to google rep on this subject...

he said, if my daily budget is much lower then recommended then standart feature basically dont work that well. I told him that just a month ago and 12 months before that it was fine, and now all of the sudden it runs out in 2-3 hours. he said - delete some keywords or raise your daily budget...

    thanks for nothing google rep.

I'm not doing any dayparting or anything else, this campaign is 24/7 to the entire USA.

Just seems odd to me that out of the hundreds of campaigns I've looked at, some of which are very similiar in terms of markets and scope, this is the only one having this issue. I've never ran into this with AdWords before, at least not that I can recall.

to me it sounds like its set to Accelerated, even tho it says that its set on standart. i've told him that. i dont know if they looking at a difference interface or what, he said that in accelerated it would be even faster...

im thinking to maybe manually redo the campaign again, see if it will change it to how it used to be...

I still don't understand why you don't just cut your bids - your adverts will last all day, and you'll get more traffic (and hence more conversions) for your money...

I understand that if you are only paying a few pence (or cents) per click, then it may be difficult to adjust this, but surely it solves the problem, and gives you better results for your money?

    Because I am stubborn:D

Honestly, this campaign is just sort of an experiment for a newer siet. I really don't care that the budget is used up in the morning...it makes no difference at all for this campaign.

Volk23 - You know, I just went through the regular contact us interface and I've never received a reply. What great service:) I'm making some adjustments to the campaign this weekend so maybe I'll try following up with them next week.
