Traking is not yet very easily done with out the abilitiy to track "channels" or pages/ads so find what are the best keywords is a bit tuff. I am finding not aiming for those I feel are “High Paying keywords†but instead finding very site topic relevant items, and including as many detailed keywords strings as I can working well for me.
Channels are now activated. To implement the channel code insert this bit of code into your ad unit ch_sid = ‘xxxx’; Replacing the xxxx between the accents with the channel name of your choice.
wow... I wonder how long it will take for some moron to start selling a list of "high paying chitika keywords"...
Yeah, i'm looking forward to seeing the channel feature up running soon, so that we can get better idea of what works best.
Channels already work and if you have used it you can already see what works best in your reports. Some recommendations for High paying keywords.
I try to put "Oakley Thump (512 MB) MP3 Player" - mp3 sunglasses, and Chitika allways override it with some sticks. I don`t even know name. But, CTR is very low.
"Oakley Thump MP3 Player" seems to display mp3 sunglasses - in my experience having () in the keyword breaks it.
Yes, this is reason. i figured out, right afer upload. hah Anyway, Iam using now noncontextual ads without command for specific product (random).
vlada, have you ever used those glasses? I saw them today and they are really expensive, but look so cool that I am still wondering if I should buy them or not...
fryman, I never used them. I think that they are VERY cool, but climate here is like in Germany. real 4 seasons. For sunny places are great. Oakley is good for glasses. You would not be sorry, I am shure. Count good sunglasses + at least solid mp3 player all in one. btw, on my avatar is Oxydo..
surprisingly little actually. i tried hard to get clicks on those when i joined, with little success. might have done me good as it forced me to find some keywords on my own.
You have to make the Chitika ads relevent to your webiste to have the best CTR. For example on my Macintosh site I place ads for Macs. It wouldn't make sense to place ads for anything else unreleated IMHO.
Ads of expensive stuff usually give high payouts (plasma tv, computers etc...). Since chitika works really well on product sites, it is a good idea to brush-up your pre-selling skills. Once your visitors are in a buying mood, it is more likely that they will click your ads as a logical follow-through action.
