    Why would anyone bother, lol!

    Just sign up for an account themselves, its not as though we dont know their IP address anymore!

    Some people are REALLY sad....though thank god ive never had anything like this!

    It may be. But thats not their fault. I id cntact them once when my account was such attempted from a theplanet server, I did reported them and the proxy was down(or at least the IP!) :D

    Same keylogger may b installed in ur system,try to scan with lastest version of Antivirus.

    Unless you're storing sensitive information inside your private messages box which would be a stupid thing to do anyway, there is nothing to be worried about ;)

    Just change your password from time to time. And if your account gets hacked, report it to DP.

    - People posting stupid threads...
    - People leaving negative iTraders
    - People giving red rep
    - People buying a whole lot of stuff
    - People selling a whole lot of stuff they don't actually own
    - People swearing and being a disturbance

    Just a few things I thought of which they could do if they got an account.

    As rochow stated above, there are many things they can do. Scamming members with an account with good rep is much easier than with a new account. They can also send emails to members acting as you. hey can just cause mass trouble throughout the forums.
