Why google let us know some search results are supplemented?

Supplement result is useless for me,
when search something, I don't care whether if is supplemented, just want what is helpful.
why Google let us know that's supplemented? I can't figure it out.

 

Google believe supplement result are not updated, duplicate content, ....... and less value for users. Probably it is not the case always.

 

I agree with you. I think google let us know that the page was supplemental to tell the users that the page was duplicate content.

 

supp. pages are the pages which has lost the quality for a temp. time. they may come back , if you apply true seo

 

Have you ever end up to perform a search with Google and find in the first SERPs page a website which is in supplemental results? No, there for, you would not even care why Google lets that do (even tho it is a very nice question, Google never does anything without some kind of backend).

 

Any other reasons? I'm sure my blog is original, and of course valuable, some PHP stuff.

 

I think another reason why your site is supplement is because you don't have enough back links, short content, or no content.

Just guess work, but with a super massive database like google has, its probably necessary to break their database into 2 sections and hence they've got the main an supplemental index

Obviously, the goal of anyone interested in google traffic is to have the highest possible percentage of your pages in the main index,

if you just have good contents without enough links, google will kick your ass and index your site as supplement.
