Yeah, I noticed that about IE too. Not sure yet what the deal with it is.

Of course it's not *useful*... :)

    So how accurate is this?

I *think* I can see me, but it's a few miles out.

    Very cool stuff though. :)

Ha, that's really cool  What if you could do that with Google Earth too? (I can see my cars on the drive it's that good)

Next time your bored, Shawn, could you just knock up a typically genius CMS for me please, I'll be your friend ;) LOL

Any way to have the user name appear on a mouseover?

PS. I think Nintendo has this same thing on his wall in paper form to help with his "stalking" hobby

Which member lives in the Isle of Man?

I'm in South Korea right now so I assume I'm the sole user there? If so, this is really cool.

You could actually... I could make it so if you click one of the pins, it takes you there in Google Earth. For example see this:

    http://www.digitalpoint.com/~shawn/2005/07/google-earth-kmz-files.html

Yeah, I had thought of it actually, but then it becomes a bit of a privacy issue I think.

    No clue...

An opt in system would be pretty cool (If you get bored again)

If only that thing could tell sex, we would have been spared all the Cute_Lara threads ;)

Couldn't even if I wanted to... The "guts" of the system is a 2.5M record (300MB) geotargetting database that's not shareware (not mine to give away).

Yeah good man - long time no see, we have to meet up again soon... Been too long
I wasn't sure if you were still state-side or not...
    I'd opt-in for that...

So in terms of where the pins appear, is is some big internet junction type thing then, because I'm sure there are more people from london on the forum, but the only pin I can see is just down the road from me (Like I say a couple of miles)...
