eBay has pulled their Google Adwords campaign as of Monday. I wonder if this is more fallout from the Google Checkout/Paypal issue.
I seen some ebay ads today. http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&q=mac&meta= there are Ebay ads. What is your source
CNBC television. Also Google news shows some. The ads showing must be eBay affiliates. Well, this sites says they started running the ads again on tuesday. http://www.comparisonengines.com/2007/06/12/ebay-no-longer-on-google-adwords/
If this indeed is true, then bye-bye E-bay, we won't miss you. A prime example of Google-sanctioned web clutter that others of us wouldn't be allowed to do.
Man I hate eBay's ads. Always few cents and that's it ... Thanks God they got in fight with Google over the Google Checkout being used as alternative payment method in eBay and the scandal got really bad. read here for more information: eBay ends relations with Google and is no longer AdWords Advertiser You're wondering what's the good thing about that? Man.. we are going to increase our profits from PPC when ebay is down. eBay was the largest AdWords advertiser and was paying the lowest possible rates and therefore we got paid less, but now things are going to change. Instead of those crappy adds, we're going to get some nice ones that really pay some money. That's Great news! Right? Cheers, Venetsian
Ebays ads never really affected myself yet. At least I don't know it. Ebay must be not thinking straight. Paypal is good? AHAHA
ebay has so many affiliates promoting their stuff via AdWords they probably realized they don't need to be in that space directly - their affiliates have it covered. Just a guess.
Dang, a regular source of amusement is going away! You could do a search for anything bad (cancer, war, satan, injury) and be shown an ad saying that it was available on eBay So now where can I turn the next time I'm looking for some crime?
They couldnt even make a show of standing up to ebay. Yes, it was actually a stupid idea, that low rent competitors pull at every ebay live, but in this case ebay had leverage and jumped on it. +1 to Ebay in the Megasite Pissing Contest
Ebay is stopping their advertising on Google Google apparently did some shady moves and Ebay got a little angry. Interesting read.
