Very odd. Last week I was hit with the QS algo, disabling most of my keywords. Today, I notice I have zero Content network impressions. Are Google now applying a Landing Page QS for the Content network? Anyone else got no content network impressions today? Thanks, Jon
Jeez, this is killing me right now, my adsense earnings are being demolished because I'm getting no action from AdWords
Did your ads by chance get disapproved...or perhaps drop far enough down the average position ladder that they're not showing any longer?
I can't see any average position because there are no impressions. Yesterday I had loads. This campaign has been running for about 6 months. Status is Active on these keywords. What gives?
What was the average position the last day they were running? What does the diagnostic tool say? If all signs point to everything being ok I'd contact support and see if they can get them running again.
I noticed a big drop off in traffic coming from Google just the other day, I'm still at a loss to figure out why, so maybe this has something to do with it. Thanks for sharing, unfortunately I can't give you any advice except to try set them up on a new account and see if Google have flagged your account for some reason. I test using this method and get good results.
I rang support and she said that there is a separate Quality Score for the Content network that use different factors. She said that the landing page was one of them. This would make perfect sense since Google wants to have "useful" sites on both search and content networks. Thus Landing Page QS makes perfect sense for the Content network too.
Aside from the landing page QS changes, Google appear to have changed a few other things on the quiet at the same time. For example, if you keep searching for the same terms, but don't click on your advert, Google will lower it in YOUR search results (though not anybody else's). This seems have happened at the same time (more or less) as the landing page slap. It's quite possible that they have changed other things, but forgotten to tell anyone?
There are things they are just not going to tell the public in an effort to provide better results. I'm surprised they notify us of changes as much as they do.
Well I just got off the phone with their support and they are looking in to the problem, not sure if it was some sort of algo change or what or if it was a bug.
Content network has its own Quality Score and is highly affected by Landing Page Quality. Most people don't know this but your adgroup may become "inactive for content network" if you have a really bad Landing page Quality - no matter how good is your CTR% or bid value - there is no direct indicator if your content network ads are disabled and your only option is to improve landing page Quality. Other cause to do not have content network impressions is if your ads are new and has not been revised yet.
Well this is not happening to new campaings, and I know how the quality score works, actually quality score for most of my campaings is GREAT in search. What we are talking about is campaings that have been running for months and all of the sudden were stopped. I am pretty sure that there is something happening with Adwords, I am not the only one having this problem... I al still waiting for an email responce from the Adwords Team.
The landing Page Quality algorithm has been updated on the first week of this month and the new version is more accurate compared to the old one - so some users has been impacted for example with min bid increases. You may discuss it here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=358668
