Should Seomoz.org (Page Strength) be added to the Quick Buck Crew site?

Well they developed a cool tool Page Strength, that never delivered consistent results and now they give you a limit of 1 query a day (1 query a day LOL, please) and ask you for Premium Membership of $39.00/Month to get unlimited access to the same crappy results, with the excuse of lack of bandwidth (lame excuse with the current bandwidth prices).

Well for me this looks like a quick way to cash in on the Page Strength tool, and a good candidate to be included on the Quick Buck Crew site.

I don't think the Page Strength tool provide so valuable information.
Most of the time I just use it for fun.

If someone said we will make you QBC due to the raising of your prices what would you think? are you not entitled to raise your prices?

I belive that a QBC is what it stands for the one that are out to make a quick buck or rip someone off in a few months and defiantly not these people..

Well the page strength is quite narrow, but sometimes it delivers some info "at a glance".

and hot fucking damn that tool is hot, been optimizing sites and checking it with that tool for hours now!

its not jut a pagestrength tool its also a pagerank prediction tool of a sort, and everyone realizes that fact thats why they are pissed its paid now.

Everything gets paid at one point, deal with it.

I agree with Malcolm also. I don't see any "Quick" part in their intention of offering the free tool. I know that they should fix or even modify it to make it more reliable/useful.

First don’t get me wrong I am all in favor of people making money , only think that some strategies are not very decent to say the minimum about it.

- They made the tool freely available to get it popular.

- Now they only let you make one query/day (please one query LOL) that normally as the values all wrong so it’s useless.

- You have to pay $39 to access a faulty tool, which in my opinion is too much money if you want only the PS tool, they could have created a basic package for like $5/month only for the tool, but no they push you the entire package.

- But no problem, they are just killing the tool, very soon other better benchmarks will appear and PS will be a forgotten tool in the past.

- So in my opinion this is a strategy to get a quick buck on the tool popularity.

why do you say its faulty?
its been providing accurate results for me since day 1, ive even checked and rechecked on other sources, the results that they provided.

Yes you are absolutely correct!


Also in the recent SEO conference at china they are speaking about how they transformed a 3000 dollars back balance into a $ 64000 at the end of the year!

and not about PS tool!

It works fine but the problem is

it takes a lot of time more than 1min to calculate PD

as it has to take various factors!

I think that it's pretty messed up to charge to look up PageStrength...I used it a lot for my site directorylister.info but now can't even update it that much because I'm limited to researching 1 site pagestrength per day..

you can use my tool (not promoting)

But the problem is the Yahoo's api

It only allows 5000 queries if you have more than 5000 queries then simply you can't calculate anything!( I have to do it manually execute the script by changing ip address in case sorting out by PD)

I think SEOmoz has also have the same problem as they are showing not Yahoo links correctly as their Yahoo api query is touches above 5000 per day

Our friend Loredan is coding on now, maybe that will be the one to trump it. By the way, there are flaws in SEOMoz as there are in any tool. So I do believe that someone will create something that will be more accurate.
