The PR will stay after the domain is transferred to you, but I do not know if it will stay after the next google update. Everyone's PR changes then. Some go up some go down. Most importantly you get the site that autoblogs with RSS feeds making it ideal for google indexing. The more it index the more traffic you can have. Site now has over 200 post. That alone will eventually get indexed by google.
