siterake : allows site owners to chart the performance of their site in the search engines based on referral. Nothing's perfect... please review my tool. $50 US for the author of the best review I'd like to encourage as many people as possible to review my tool. To do so I am offering $50 US. The review does not need to be a favourable review - I am looking for constructive feedback. Best review posted before 30 June 2007 gets the money via Paypal.
Thanks for the opportunity to review your site. I actually used this tool when you first posted about it. It's good - particularly in tracking the success of search engine referral. It is always impressive to have a top rank in the search engines but if no one is searching it/clicking it then there is no value in it. Other things I like about your tool is: - ability to get a all-in-one-page snapshot of search engine referral - runs fast and renders graphs quickly - looks good, would be confident sending others to the site The not so good: - it can only interpret apache log files. Apache is the most widely used web server however many site owners sit their business sites on .net so this should be considered in your next release - I did notice that the clickable graphs were not working after the first click All in all, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I have registered for the standalone version - the standalone version is really what you should release as soon as possible since uploading log files all the time can get very time consuming!
Nice tool, but google analytics has all of this in it, albeit not all on the one page like you guys have. The only downside to google analytics is bandwidth and possible outages attributable to dodgy international links. If siterake ran as a standalone version on my site and automatically read my sites log files than I'd install it.
Before developing and releasing the standalone version I wanted to gain enough good feedback to be confident that the tool is worthy. To this date though, no one has linked to my site and very few DP forum users have tested the tool. 'SEO Ranter'.... do you think the reason why folks have not used the tool is because the standalone version is not available - log files too hard to upload?
