inktomisearch

I just noticed in the last few days [almost all on Sep 23] hundreds of log entries looking like lj1209.inktomisearch.com - but the number varies.

I assume thus is Yahoo, but I don't understand why, the site is less than 2 weeks old, other than a couple of my own sites, nothing links to me. Google knows my site exists but has no keywords. If it is Yahoo, why is it deciding to spider the site?

I agree with Foxy...

Out of interest though...

Where did you get that internal site search script for your site?

How does it work?

Is it free?

I notice your pages are static... I've been looking for a similiar solution for one of my sites, that's why I ask.

1. Just seems strange that it uwould work so hard on the basic of two links. Futher checking of the logs seems that it might have indexed between 500 and 100 pages. Which is find if it actually puts me in Yahoo.

2. Which site -which page, I've been playing round with site searches for the last week, and changing them, so I'm not sure whcih one you mean.

That's one of the benefits of using Front Page 2000. It's the built in search form.

[Despite all the negative comments about FP, I happen to like it, it's quick and easy to knock up extra pages.]

That's a shame... I couldn't use FP, but a search function on a static site would be very nice indeed...
