Free list of available PR3/4 domain names

Discussion in 'Domains' started by cstamets, May 24, 2007.

This is a list of domain names that had PR3 or 4 and are available to register (at least they were when I checked a little bit ago). The PR appears to be valid to me, but please do your own checking, as I don't claim to be an expert on the subject.

I've picked up a few from lists posted by others, so I thought I should give back a little.

I don't think it was, based on the backlinks I checked, but, that's why I said to check for yourself. That's also why it's a free list, because I can't give any guarantees.

Not to argue with you, because I'm no authority, just for discussion...

I think the 0 Google links are because Google has cleared the dropped domain already. I checked Yahoo and found a few links in there. They were all going to 0X7F.ORG and not some other domain, so I feel like that's a decent indication that it's probably valid.

Maybe I'm wrong. I suppose it's possible that all the Google links were completely different. If anyone has an opinion, please feel free to share it.

A site needs backlinks for PR. If it's been cleared from Google then it probably has no PR and Yahoo has nothing to do with PR because its 'Google Page Rank'.

True, but the links still exist. Google clearing it's cache doesn't make them go away from the websites. So won't they get reestablished with Google once the new website is up and has been indexed?

I don't know. Just to be safe, for now, I won't post anymore domains unless they have Google backlinks. I've got a few more domains I was going to post, but now I want to recheck them. It's waaayy past my bedtime, so if they're still available in the morning (or whenever I wake up), I'll recheck them and post the good ones.

Thanks for talking this through with me. Even with the disclaimers and the list being free, I don't want to be posting domains if my logic is flawed.

They are fake if you type them in google (info:domain.com) and you get a different url back. Just because they aren't in the cache, doesn't mean the pagerank isn't valid.

Google PR is a historical measurement, which means once your PR has been established, it (correct me if someone knows otherwise) will stay at that value until next update.

So, if you buy a PR domain now (just after Google PR update) you will keep that rank for a while, regardless of if you build links, etc.

Thanks for posting free stuff!! (though I didn't reg any)

That part I understand. But what if you don't get anything back from info: at all? That's the point where I've been relying on checking for existing links and making sure they point back to the right domain and such. Now I'm questioning whether that means anything of value.

There are lists all over the place. I just run through a couple of lists and see what's still available and check to see if the pagerank looks valid.
