I would be suspicious of why someone would want to sell a real cash cow like that one. Makes you wonder.

People sell "cash cows"- good, producing businesses all the time. It's just you want it, I want to move on to something else type of thing. Or there can be a myriad of totally unrelated motives, none of which should make you question the "goodness" of the business itself.

they are scraping the results. someone mentioned in a post that their IP got blocked by Yahoo and Google. Looks like there is no business or extreemly high entry fees requested by the big SEs to put jux2 on the next level. I wonder why Google/Yahoo don't allow them to use api below 100k hits and if they will really do it after jux reaches 100k.

Damn I like the concept, interesting read though as to if the new owners are going to be able to legally keep using G's search results etc.

The fact that SEW is giving them a great review should really get the price up!

I don't know if they are scraping the results or not. They mention that they have negotiated some kind of deal with Google/Yahoo.

I wish people would at least *pretend* to read a thread before trying to get 25 to post in buy/sell/trade :)

I'm sorry but I don't really see anything great at jux2. Isn't dogpile doing just the exact same thing?

What exactly is one buying here? No PR, it was registered like 10 days ago, no back links. Google shows 1 page indexed.

So what exactly is being sold? The script?

Buyer beware. Isn't this just a modified version of http://chatologica.com ?

While the Chatologica License does not say anything about modifying the code, it is forbidden to resdistribute it. So I would be a little leary about buying it. The auction indicates the "complete source code" is one of the things that are for sale. However, I am not 100% sure that the source is theirs to sell.

    Anyway, just a thought.

I'm not sure the mods will really like me posting this but...

Yes the majority of value of the item is for the script. But also for the domain which receives about 100 searches/day and does have backlinks (although they are not listed in google). Also included are any modifcations/ideas you might want implementing into the site (within reason).

Traffic would not take that long to build up (take a look at jux2, its only source of traffic was from searchenginewatch's award and it sold for $100,000, although it did have more backlinks).

How on earth is it a modified version of the chatologica script? The only similarity are that they are both meta search engine scripts. The site is completely hand written from scratch and took well over a month to code. I wish I code show potential buyers the source code so they can judge the quality themselves, but why would they pay if they have it already :)
