Ok, now the site is ready. The process is MUCH better now that we have streamlined everything. http://www.22dollarlogos.com Beginning November 1st we will have customer support via phone. Contact info can be found here http://www.22dollarlogos.com/contact.html 2 color logos (including B&W) for only $22. You choose your designer and work with them directly via a forum thread. Designers with samples can be found here. http://www.22dollarlogos.com/designers.html Looking forward to working with some of you. Regards, Eric
one thing though, get some logo's in there quick, because people ( clients ) want to see what you are capable of! ( btw if you ever need another designer...... )
What an awesome concept and site - no doubt, with a little advertising you'll be plenty busy in no time; very well done. Please feel free to add a link over at heres1.com - write up an article about your services if you want and I'll publish it on the front pages of sitespromoter.com too. You should consider doing a press release about your site and services - I truly think it be a great exposure tool for you. Best of luck!
Looking good zman! Nice clean design. Got your PM, no problem. Can help out tonight if it doesn't work out.
That's a good idea and much appreciated. Press release is now on the drawing board. GTech, I may still need the help. My files are all a mess and fantastico is being a bitch. I'll let you know.
No im referring to perhaps an illustrator file. Ideally logos are made in a format that is stretchable (you could stretch it across the side of a plane or a pen). Pixel images cant do this as they consist of a series of dots and lose quality when resized. Vector images are based on mathmatical calculations. Try this (i havent read it all) http://www.eastbywest.com/pub/vectorbitmap/ If the files come in illlustrator (or some other scalable form) then Ill def want a few
I do press release writing and I know Minstrel does also - if you need a second set of eyes when you're done with it, shoot me a PM and I'll look over it if you want; and I think Minstrel would probably give up a few minutes to comment just to make sure you have a well-rounded opinion on it before it gets released.
I'll shoot you a PM. But, if you've already written it and you merely want a "peer review" that can be accomplished for free.
JPEGs, GIFs and PNGs are standard web formats, so you'll definitely get those, but if you do require .ICOs or .PSDs, then that's easy to arrange. So far that is all we offer.
zman, the reason people want illustrator files is so they can also use their logos for print. Flyers, brochures, t-shirt, business cards, etc. Most graphic designers (professional designers) create the logos in vector because you if you need to enlarge or shrink the logo, change to colors or alter it, you won't lose quality and it's easy to do. Not everyone needs a logo only for their website. But for $22, I guess I wouldn't expect much. Not to say you don't offer quality work. Just not all the little extras professional or shall I say commercial designers offer. PSD's won't do it because it's not true vector. It will eventually rasterize the image and you will lose quality when enlarging or making it smaller. Good luck! I am sure there would be enough demand for Web "only" Logos.
Looks good to me. I will be ordering at some point soon. One note, on LGR's page, under basic Package there is no comment about copyright like on the other pages and packages. Typo or different deal?
LGR is actually building a portfolio so on his $22 package he will be asking you to allow him to use the image in his portfolio. He can add your watermark to the image on his portfolio if that helps. I know it isnt a first choice in some cases, but it is the way he choses to do it. All other designers do not ask this but the permission is appreciated. Hope this helps.
