Your rival can ban your adsense account without any reason in 5 days. Believe it. My adsense account was banned, not because I broke the TOS, not because I clicked or asked someone to click on the ads. It's banned because an evil rival clicked like 500 times on the ads in two days. Four days before I got banned, I sent one email notifying Adsense Team that the evil rival was clicking on the ads to make my account banned, and I was seeing unusually high CTR. Support team assured me that my account was in good-standing blah blah. They would closely monitoring the situation. A few days later I was banned for click-fraud. I kindly wrote an appeal email after having done thorough research, providing them all the suspicious IPs and logs. A week later, I got reinstated only to get banned again a week later by the same sabotage attempt. This time they refused to reinstate even I had informed them about the abnormality with actual offending IPs and logs. I was in Adsense since 2005. I started earning a few cents a day to this 4 digits a month. It's all hard works. I shed tears and bloods to be here. I dare not break the TOS, yet ironically here I am in banned list. Now i'm telling you my story, because I want your adsense accounts to stay alive and well. It's not the end of the world being banned, but you lose money, lose the revenue. So, if you also want to protect your account, join in and bring some attention to this post. How you can help You can help! Don't stand here waiting for your rival to pluck you out from the system. Help deliver this message to Google engineers. You can also help by blogging or emailing to Adsense staff you know about the solutions. I'd like to propose some solutions to Google: #1 Allow publisher to filter invalid clicks manually. If we see abnormal CTR from IPs, we can deduct the earnings back to advertisers ourselves. Doing this will both save Google's resources and provide some control to us. #2 Google should develop a Resolution System. If there's any suspicious activity, Google would first issue a ticket that publisher has to solve. Withdrawal is forced to on-hold but ads operates normally until the issue is solved. Doing this ensure that publisher won't lose a dime during the sabotage attempt. Google may ban later if the publisher fails to solve the issue within 4 weeks or so. It'd not be too late to refund to advertisers because earnings have been already forced on-hold. #3 Google should value the support tickets to adsense team when publisher reports the suspicious activities on his account. Now adsense banning/reinstating and support are operated independently. Support tickets are ignored when you're banned. #4 Google should differentiate sabotage attempt from click-fraud. Why would a long-, good-standing publisher clickbomb on his ads? There is no reason to do so, unless he wants to cancel his adsense account. I propose that surge of clicks made in good-standing publisher's account are automatically filtered as "sabotage attempt", refunded back to advertisers, and notified the publisher. Publisher shouldn't be punished for this "sabotage" reason, because it's not in his control. #5 Google should hire many more employees for Adsense department. It takes a week to ban an account and another week to respond to appeal. This is serious backlog. Google earns millions if not billions from publishers' effort. Could it please just cut small percentage of that to improve publisher's experience? I suspect that the lack of employees is a main cause of this banning issue. Google doesn't have employee to help me protecting from sabotage. I look like a pain in their a*s, so they want to ditch me.
This is the only way I could think of that you can protect your adsense account. We've emailed them, but Google treat our pleas as a joke or something. Protect your adsense account, digg this story to spread the solutions to Google engineers. It may be not the perfect ones, but if Google implement one of these, you will have some more control over your account. We're honest webmasters. Don't let Google look down on us by banning whoever they want to. Tell them that we need something done to protect us the publishers. Not just advertisers, publishers need click-fraud protection as well. Digg the story now, mate.
NO, we can find other income sorce but we dont want to kiss adsense ass ... they can protect publisher if they do it.
I'm currently out of adsense now. It hurts like crap to be kicked out being totally innocent. I never thought Google is just insane in banning good publishers. You're good publisher, so get OUR voice heard. Read the whole story here (see why I am innocent): http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=285782&page=8 (My site was delisted from Yahoo because of the same rival. He tricked Yahoo into delisting my website. I posted here and yahoo engineer helped me. Adsense engineers will hear us. Just digg this story.)
I understand you were banned unjustly, and you're mad as hell (rightfully), and you want to tell people about it. But it really is a waste of everyone's time, but mostly yours. I would move on, and try to find another form of revenue. Why spend all your time making threads about how to get back at Google, etc, when it is so unproductive for you? Take a breath and move on.
Dugg. I'm one of those paranoid publishers also... would hate to lose my account due to sabotage [Would devastate me.]
I'm actually up writing a paper about Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement... you might ask how this relates to the thread... and I really can't think of the best answer but here we have someone who wants to do more than just send an appeal and wait. I have one huge site which Adlogger cannot be installed on... so everyday I get worried about getting click bombed. I understand how he feels. More power to him. If he wants to get his voice heard, let him preach. I am sure a lot of us will support him if need be. I believe he is one of the honest publishers that fell through the cracks and got banned for a wrong reason. *I apologize for the lack of clarity in this post... Super tired and need to turn in a term paper in 6 hours
I have strong faith in doing the right thing. Top Yahoo engineer contacted me last time about another Yahoo matter. I got the issue solved. I've moved on. It's you who currently need some protection. Spare a few seconds to click digg, mate.
My account was banned too. Not for click fraud but for being related to some previously disabled account (?). As I was with AdSense since 2005 and never personally had a different account, didn't click my ads, always tried to keep by the rules I find it little bit unfair for not being able to prove myself. I worked for a company which account was banned in 2003 and my contact details were used on that account. I understand they could see this as "being related" but this is something that could be solved by a couple of emails or a phone call. The problem with Google is they'd rather lose those few bucks you could earn them than try to resolve the issue = pay for a competent support team and not just those trigger happy "experts". It's just cheaper for them.
i'm so sad that you have banned but i dont think it will change anythink. i think google adsense team does not read digg
Sorry for your troubles. I try to subscribe to multiple publishers and take time to build each of them somewhat the same in case I am ever banned. I'm pretty sure some big G reads everything, they have people who read forums, check out other websites. Doesn't mean anything will happen, but someone at G probably has read it. Maybe send a link to one employee's popular blog...maybe I shouldn't mentioned names..I don't want to be banned either.
Don't think you get notice through digg or here. Grab everybody attention at http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help It may cacth G attention better and faster
