This alligator was found between Athens and Palestine , Texas near a house. How would you like to meet this fella in the dark? Never let it be said that we don't grow them big in Texas Game wardens were forced to shoot the alligator- guess he wouldn't cooperate... Anita and Charlie Rogers could hear the bellowing in the night. Their neighbors had been telling them that they had seen a mammoth alligator in the waterway that runs behind their house, but they dismissed the stories as exaggerations. "I didn't believe it," Charles Rogers said. Friday they realized the stories were, if anything, understated. Texas Parks and Wildlife game wardens had to shoot the beast. Joe Goff, 6'5" tall, a game warden with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, walks past the 23'1" alligator that he shot and killed in the Rogers back yard.
ah god thats huge one, never seen such. i just remember had seen one long back in zoo was like 6-8ft long, this one is real big
It looks like a deer in the first picture. Damn shame they had to kill such a beautiful specimen, I guess they didnt have the resources to take it alive.
Yep. That's a Croc alright. It's not an Alligator. Alligator's have long thin snouts. Crocs have big ugly heads. Just like this one. There's hundreds of them this size and bigger in the Northern Territory (Northern part of Australia). and I'll be a Monkey's Uncle if that warden is 6 foot 5 inches tall. Compare him to the tailgate of the pick nearest the Croc. Just a slight bit of exaggeration Col
I didn't know the USA has crocs. Forced by who/what? Looks like those Humans are out of control again. Not only does Texas have an Athens, but also a Palestine! I bet those poor Texan Palestinians get hell from the gun toting Texas Game Wardens.
The only place here in florida with crocs id down in the canals of lower miami where the crocs get to bask in sea water. They are very rare.
Yes Thats Croc. We have a special park for croc breeding near my home city in India. P.S. Col that hanging Croc can be an excellent logo for our Bender Brigade site. Just place a proud Bender near that croc and and we are set
According to???? I have seen hundreds of Crocs. I am in Australia mate. You got it the wrong way around....LOL Col
Well I'll be a Monkey's Uncle. I just looked at Wiki for both: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alligator http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crocodile That is incredible. You know there are Croc Parks in Australia that have signs all over the place. What's in the pens? Alligators (according to Wiki). Man, for all these years...LOL I do apologise SFOD. Col
