WildWest Reseller?

Has anyone used GoDaddy's WildWest reseller program?

It's not so much that I plan to do a lot of reselling (although who knows down the road) but I have a lot of domains registered through GoDaddy so I could save myself money, I guess.

Any experience would be helpful.

I currently use them my rep is Mike Fear and he is great as well saves me a ton of money I have over 500 domains. I also buy in bulk its very easy.

 

As I know, GD reseller account is not free.
You have to pay $99 per month.
Not sure whether the money you save really offsets the yearly fee.
Personally I would recommend enom or directi
if you have $xxx budget.
They don't charge you any maintenance fee.

 

I'm a WildWest reseller. If you plan to register (to yourself or to sell to others) hundreds of domains you won't loose money. Although if you register hundreds of domains you'll probably find similar prices with other registrars.

 

There are prob better options out there.

I would take a look at what Directi has to offer but search in the forums before subscribing anyway.

Godaddy's getting a poor name in some SEO circles. They've shut down sites and demanded $200 to put them back, given the slightest instance of what they see as spam. I've no idea if they're valid or not, but the $200 is definitely ransom.

I've switched to Moniker.com (cause I've seen them at tradeshows). Support is excellent, far more than I expect when I'm paying a few bucks a domain. I expect you can get domains a dollar cheaper elsewhere, but I'm happy with the service, the control panel, and the price. (I think their retail is like $17, but if you've got a good number they come down in price fast. I'm paying not much more than the cheapo pricing).

 

I've had some second-hand experience with WildWest and find them friendly and helpful. Where I see them used the most are for those developers who produce template sites and sell them for next to nothing on Ebay. Of course, their main intent there is for the addon fees for hosting, domain transfer, domain renewals, etc. Not the site itself.
