Hi there, Just a reminder here that as part of a rolling launch, we will soon require short descriptions for ALL new or modified Sponsored Search ads. These changes could be seen as early as 5/16/07. Keep in mind that if a short description is not provided by the end of June 2007, we will automatically cut off your ad description at the nearest complete word, followed by an ellipsis, when it is displayed on Yahoo!. This may impact your ad quality and, potentially, your position in search results. Points to keep in mind: •Titles will continue to have a maximum of 40 characters. •Short descriptions are required when creating or modifying an ad. Short descriptions must consist of 70 characters or less. •Display URLs must be 35 characters or less. For more info: http://www.ysmblog.com/blog/2007/04/05/think-short/ http://help.yahoo.com/help/l/us/yahoo/ysm/sps/start/overview_shortdesc.html We’re really trying to help improve the overall search experience for users and advertisers, and we believe that shorter descriptions are a best practice. As always, I welcome your feedback so feel free to post a comment or send me a private email. All the best, YahooPete
It's good if they start keeping it in short descriptions as then only it will be differentiating from other ads.
Starting today, without a short description your ad will be truncated. http://www.ysmblog.com/blog/2007/06/20/short-descriptions-now-live/ Thanks, YahooPete
I think that is really getting to business. One has to be fully equiped with current info these days to avoid slaps.
