Amazon/Microsoft AWS contest

    Amazon has a little contest to promote it's Amazon Web Services. Basically build a new app that uses AWS and you could win $5,000 of Amazon merchandise.

    Anybody want to give me your ideas ;)

    I started writing a natural search toy system yesterday intregrating aws (e-commerce), buy.com and ebay ... not after the prize... it's a bit of a challenge getting ebay to return relevant results based on titles from amazon and buy.

    It looks like you have to use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 to build the app... So no cool php stuff. :confused:

    yeah it seems they are talking about standalone apps - now web applications :(
