I am happy to announce that www.bigoole.com (Bigoole web directory ) has crossed more than 2,000,000 listings(600,000 urls )

It has indexed more than 600,000 urls in about 6 days In few months time it will definitely overtake Dmoz as the World's Largest Web directory.

Bigoole is different from others as it has Search interface only compared to other directories which need you to browse through them

As of now the listings are sorted by PR(Google page rank)

To see the latest url being indexed see here

    Referral Revenue:
We are happy to announce that we will be displaying Google adsense ads of referrers who refer visitors to our site .So there is a additional opportunity for them to earn more revenue by redirecting some traffic to our site.

To know more about Referral Revenue click here

    Partnerships:
We are looking for tie up with major directories to fund our resources So as to move to a Dedicated Server(Currently it is hosted on a vps) .Directory owners and others who are interested in sponsoring s may buy a link on Partners page for $10 monthly .

    Page data:

In future we aim to introduce our own algorithim called Page data which will be based on links from other websites to your site .The Page data is a numerical value which will indicate the popularity of your website among visitors.(Not Google page rank). It is based on no of visitors

We are open to suggestions from DP members for improving our site and We are also inviting partners and sponsors

If you have any queries contact us here or through our message boards!

Also I thank all the members who have rendered help and supported us in this project

Special thanks to members who supported us in this thread

To see the urls that has been indexed

    check here

    www.bigoole.com/listofurls.php

    and to

see the latest url that has been indexed by Bigoole bot

    see here

    www.bigoole.com/latesturl.php

Also search for hosting and other related keywords you may find results

The page rank update for the urls is going on The page rank update has been finished for about 200,000 and for others it is still updating

I like to tell other thing these 600,00 urls has been indexed only in 6 days so it will continue to index more as the days go by

It is currently hosted on a vps so it is slow in indexing!

I don't believe dmoz claims to be the world's largest web directory. The last time I looked, it's mentioned that the project is the largest, most comprehensive human edited directory of the web; and isn't there quite a difference between constructing a directory manually and "indexing" urls with a bot?

In either event, best of luck with this project. I wish you much success.

Dont forget the Worlds Biggest Directory :p

BTW how do you think yours is a directory with just URL's and no more info about them?

who said there is no more info about them

we store keywords ,description, and title and the first page

we will take only top 3-4 keywords so if your site gets indexed your site will get listed only for top 3-4 keywords

we also plan to prepare a category(keyword) wise listing!

Those urls which have no more information about them means they have not properly optimized their meta tags

So the Bot will not index there is editor login feature

But I do not want to allow editors as they will be adding their listings at the top

Since the listings are sorted by Google page rank there is no problem as of now

Also we would be relying on our own Page Data in future as more than 100 websites may have the same page rank!

I submitted my clients' sites --but not my own-- because I don't like the name --its a poor copy of Google:p

People would have appreciated more if you had another name .

Lemme suggest you something --why don't you just try to get a Unique name and transfer all databases there--

    You know people like uniqueness:D

But I would stand with Bigoole it does not imitate Google in anyway

Bigoole is different from Google in every aspect!

Do you maintain any editorial integrity? Or it is "free for all"? 600000 urls in 6 days is doubtful.

Yes I have but I like to have editors if they wish

I have already said My Bigoole bot indexes urls

600,000 in 6 days is acheivable as it indexes only one page

I did not have enough resources to run my all the bots so it indexes only domains starting with letters

Also the I am not indexing by links I am indexing the domain as I have a domains list with over 75 million domains

So you went on a frenzy by removing the captcha and going on approving each and every URL (Including spam) that came your way? But still it looks like you used some script to do it since the Alexa is very bad even for a directory.

Dude, Bigoole is a good looking site, but that doesn't mean you'll start comparing it to Dmoz, alright? So please...

So I guess it is more of a search engine than a directory.
It will interesting to see if you are able to get traffic to the site.

What kind of differentiation do you have? There are already very good spidering systems, indexing systems and search engines built on top of that.

Google comes to mind, for one, so how do you plan to add value to your data?
