As I predicted some time last year, it seems Microsoft is interested in buying out Yahoo for some $50 billion. I guess this is the only way Microsoft sees competiting with Google on the net. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18486561/
I wonder if they will merge their search to create a super search engine, one capable of competiting with Google search.
Is that true? Good for them they will not add to competition instead of two SE they will be merge as one...
hmm...wonder how that would enhance the messenger systems as well... this would be one hell of a bold move to try and catch up to google...
So if you can't beat them try to buy them out. I learn more business savy stuff everyday on DP. Now if microsoft can buy out all the other lesser SE's they may have a chance ... right?
Here is an article that mentions a potential deal: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070504/ap_on_hi_te/yahoo_microsoft Yahoo stock went up 20% on news of a possible deal.
Yeah I just read it on Yahoo Front page I think it said Microsoft will pay $50 billion. And Yahoo market capitalization was $38 last year. Should be very interesting to see what will take place.
$50 billion isnt that much for Microsoft realistically. As for the buyout, I mentioned it in "The Yahoo Endgame"
You never know when Google will be interested and jump into the fray as well. Google can easily up the price to $60b to force out Microsoft.
lets start seoing for msn and yahoo from toaday only and then we will get a huge traffic from these after wards
Imagine if google bought it lol.. they would own the internet practically... the already bought youtube... So who gets the $50 billion ...
