Yahoo to be bought buy Microsoft

As I predicted some time last year, it seems Microsoft is interested in buying out Yahoo for some $50 billion. I guess this is the only way Microsoft sees competiting with Google on the net.

Thats a good news.. Thats another way to remove Google's monopoly..

 

I wonder if they will merge their search to create a super search engine, one capable of competiting with Google search.

 

Is that true? Good for them they will not add to competition instead of two SE they will be merge as one...

 

yahoo's up 21% in pre-market trading....

 

I think the deal would be bad, some of us rank good in one search engine, and poorly in the other

 

hmm...wonder how that would enhance the messenger systems as well...

this would be one hell of a bold move to try and catch up to google...

 

Man! How I wish I had bought some share in Yahoo over the last few weeks.

 

So if you can't beat them try to buy them out. I learn more business savy stuff everyday on DP.

Now if microsoft can buy out all the other lesser SE's they may have a chance ... right?

Yahoo stock went up 20% on news of a possible deal.

 

Wonderful news indeed. I woke up to see a major spike in my stocks portfolio.

 

Yeah I just read it on Yahoo Front page

I think it said Microsoft will pay $50 billion. And Yahoo market capitalization was $38 last year. Should be very interesting to see what will take place.

 

Google will still be number one. It's hard to compete with such a huge company.

 

$50 billion isnt that much for Microsoft realistically. As for the buyout, I mentioned it in "The Yahoo Endgame"

 

You never know when Google will be interested and jump into the fray as well. Google can easily up the price to $60b to force out Microsoft.

 

Wonder if the deal will happen-not counting my eggs-you know the rest.

 

google does not have that kind of money

 

I don't see this deal happening, and even if it did, it wont stop google

 

lets start seoing for msn and yahoo from toaday only and then we will get a huge traffic from these after wards

 

Imagine if google bought it lol.. they would own the internet practically... the already bought youtube... So who gets the $50 billion ...
