Gmail account hacked - HELP

Discussion in 'Google' started by ian_ok, May 1, 2007.

My gmail account of 3 years has been hacked and I can't access it at all.

I'm worried as I've been using this to ask for deposit payments and NOW the people who have access to the Gmail account can ask for payment into their account and take the money and run. I have no way of contacting people to let them know what is happening.

I don't have the email verification code but have sent them info on when I started the account and who invited me, i can't be sure what 2nd email address i gave 3 years ago.

I've sent Google an email via their Gmail help page but am worried this will be too late when they reply and if the people have changed my secret question I can never get access.... plus you have to wait 5 days of inactivity but if they log in every day to con my clients I don't have the option to do the secret password question.

    What else do you suggest.....?

Honestly.. contacting google.. that's the best you can do. Whatever you do, do not confront the hacker by contacting your email account..

try to contact google to let them change the password and give the access right back to you. it might be hard to do. if you can do anyway to cancel or pause the deposit money, just do that first. about adsense payment. the payee still your name (coz they cant change it) that should be fine.

This is a ugly situation. But I think without the second e-mail is hard that you may prove that you are the owner of the account. Please let us know if the google help you. Because this may be valuable information for other user in the same situation.

    I wish you luck

    It is too BAD.
I suggest to request to google and resend them new password also change the relevant passwords one by one as early as possible which you deal with this account.
Notedown in your personal diary onward. Best of luck

you can ring google, their american number. they'll fix the problem there and then if you can prove its your account, and if you cant prove it straight away i'm sure they'll freeze the account at the very least
