It's a good way to find info on very competitive keywords, and other things that attract the search engine spammers.

lol I've just tried a few keyterms and I have to admit, the percentage of useful sites is higher on page 5 than page 1

I guess this means that the first 4 pages (or 40 entries) are merchants and such that have money and pump them into advertising for high SERP (am I using the correct term?)
