i paid 'Scheme' for coding template and never got it

I bought a template designed for proxy website.

I needed someone to code it so i opened a thread here:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=300824

i asked someone to code for me 2 templates, so i got some offers.

One of them was from Scheme who contacted me by pm as well.(17 April)

He said he could do both for some money,($20 each) in 24 hours, after 2 days i replied(19 April) that this template is a bit complex so i want to be sure he can do it.

I proceeded with payment for one template coding at 19 of April and 2 days later(21 April) i got a pm that the coding was done. So i gave him my email so he can send it there.

After 3 days(24 April) i still didnt get anything so i pm'ed him once more saying that maybe this got blocked, even though i m sure it wasnt. So i gave him another email address.

He replied(25 April) with his msn id and told me to get online there so he can send me.

I got on msn and waited for this day but never appeared. So pm'ed him again at 25 April saying that i want the coded template.

I did the same at 26 April but never got answer.

Lat activity on forum was on 'Apr 25th 2007 1:05 am'

This is my last try, if i dont solve this i must send a chargeback email to paypal.

Keep in mind that not only he has my money but he also has the template which i paid somebody else to do, so he is benefited from this also.

Because i dont want to see this template wondering around the web i ll put i screenshot here so if u see this u ll know its not his and above all its for FREE, because that was my intention, to fix all this and give it for free.

PS: Scheme's feedback is not so positive, i should check that before.

Guys 'Scheme' seems to have had genuine problems.

Being fellow digital point members, I really appreciate that everyone is ready to fix the whole issue .

On this occasion I want to put forward few of my points, which will make you and your service/business way better than your competitors.

When you are in business, you can't expect "Unexpected" things not to happen to you. Mostly the 'worst' comes least unexpected.

At this point, the only thing you need to do to loose all your customers is not to inform them about your situation and leave them wondering if you scammed them.

Lets face it, today the technology is so advanced that you can almost do anything from anywhere!!

Personally contacting all your customers to inform them about the "unexpected accident" is quite not doable.
In such situations, leaving your customers in the dark without informing them about your current status would be the worst thing you'd be doing. Not only will you loose the current project/s you are working on, but also the chances of getting any further projects/business/JV ops from your customer/partners becomes almost nil.

You might be the best in your industry, but if you are not well organized don't expect to build a solid business.

    The best solution:
Set up a blog/status page, where you will keep your customers updated about your status if any thing urgent comes across.

Tell them upfront, that if you go unanswered for two / more days then possibly somethings gone wrong, in which case they will have to go to that blog/page and check what the status is and by when and how they can reach you.

And most important of all, make sure that if any such thing happens, you post your unavailability on your blog.

The beauty of internet is that you just need connection to put a post up and you can do it from any part of the world. Worst scenario, just do a mobile post and it gets up as most of the softwares support this these days.

A happy customer/partner means more money, better business and a lot of respect.

    For your success.

Yesterday i received an email from paypal regarding their decision on my complaint.
This was on my favor of course but they cant give me money back because this guy(kid actually) has retracted all his money by the time the compaint was resolved on my favor.

The money is not that much($20), but he took one of my templates as well and most of all he let me hanging without a website.

Be carefull of him and guys like him, as it turns out school boys are good but not trustworthy.

    Case closed from my side.

Mark and James I am sorry for your loss, but did any of you two thought twice before buying from someone who's username is "scheme"?

    This thread is pretty ironic.

Oddly enough Makis77 himself is a complete scam. Providing false statistics to sell a website.

Next time u do bussines, look better the topic and if u dont like it dont bid.
Because if u do and then pay for it u dont have the chance to roll things back like u would.

    Grow up!
