I have a feeling msn have a sandbox of somekind too, altho its not as harsh as the one found over @ google i believe there is some kind of sandbox. take a look at the following 2 pages and tell me if you find they are basicly a copy of each other (they are both mine) and tell me if they are optimised the same way. http://teen.iconrate.net/teen-fun-site.html http://www.teennonsense.com/ The only difference i see between them is that the first ranks at number 1 in msn for "teen fun" and the second is nowhere (http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=teen+fun&FORM=QBRE3) The first also only has 2 BL's the second has 33 BL's I would not say its a competitive word and is only searched 300 times a day, but interesting none the less.
I think its not sandbox related. Recent msn update has done something and my new site even with 1.5K coop weight not ranking anywhere in top 200. This new update has done some stuff.
they might of changed their algo or wotever but the two pages are both optimised for same word in the same way, how can there be such a difference in the rankings?
How long does it take to get a result in google? I heard a '6 month' theory from a site's submission...I am currently in a really bad habit of checking pagerank.net and seeing the links that are detected to my site etc... it is an evil curse...but I am drawn to it!
I don't know what MSN is up to. But total number of pages my site listed in MSN varies very much. One thing is for sure that MSN is trying hard to get No 1 position in Search engine field. Lasat month I got 18000 hits by MSN-bot. Now I am thinking to ban it from entring some part of my site to save bandwidth. And for you, just-4-teens, May be the MSN gives too much preference to the keywords in URL.
yahoo (no not the search engine ) msn finally caught up and my site now ranks no1 and the single page is second http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=teen+fun&FORM=MSNH&srch_type=0
