What I am Selling: I am selling my science blog. SciFreak is a blog that specializes in providing information on the latest breakthroughs in science. As can be seen, the topics range from astronomy to biology to chemistry and to biology.

What do I do with it: Until now, I have updated the blog with information on the latest science breakthroughs. To get this information, I have gone to different sites that list numerous different scientific breakthrough or reports. I will provide the winning bidder with a list of these sites. I found them by means of being a science major and the such.

Where Traffic Came From: For this blog, traffic came from two big places. The first was search engines. They did help more than I had expected. The second place was a myspace account. Since I am a science major, I used my personal account to advertise the blog and it really worked. So, might I recommend to the winning bidder to make a myspace account all about science...You'll be surprised what you can get.

PR: The site is currently a PR3 blog; however, I am sure with a little link adding, it could jump up to a PR4 or PR5 site for sure. I never personally considered PR my top priority.

Earnings: Earnings on this blog were alright. Once the ads were successfully targeted on my site, I began to see about $5.00 a month in clicks. So far this month, I am a little shy of this five dollar mark, but there are still a few days left, so there is quite a good chance that it'll get over five dollars again. So far, the blog has made little over eleven dollars since adsense has been on it, so you can see that there is some money to be made. And, I have received a couple of $1+ clicks, so it's a good market.

March Earnings

Traffic: Traffic has been at a constant xx daily basis. There are a few days where traffic went above 100 naturally. Then there are a few days where I advertised on my myspace account and that sent hundreds of uniques to my blog. So, traffic changes based on how much you work on getting it sent. However, science is a field so many people are interested in, there is a big market to get people to read the stuff.

A Few Personal Tips: Since the traffic is pretty good, it qualifies for acceptance in Kontera. I never got around to adding it, though, but I would highly recommend it. Another thing I recommend is creating an account on myspace and facebook for the purpose of advertising it. You'll be surprised about the number of people that are interested in it. If you have any questions on ways to market the site, ask.

Reason For Selling: My reason for selling is because I don't have the time for the site. I love science, but my love for science is in my major and that is the most important thing. Because of that, I need to focus on my studies and I am unable to work on the blog. Since I am going to need money for books and next semester, I thought I would sell the blog to someone that could easily get more content on the site.

The Content: All the content is unique. All it takes to update the site is about ten or twenty minutes to write a post based off another article. Just write an article and then express your opinion. You'd be surprised how easy it is for you to get some easy content going for your site.

My goodness...In all the sales I have done on this site, I have never enjoyed a post quite as much as yours. Thanks for all the question. I believe all your questions were answered by yourself, but I will just touch on the last one again.

As far as I am concerned, PR shouldn't change at all. I don't think hosting has anything to do with it.

Can you tell me how you integrated adsense to posts? Is it easy to modify (even remove them totally) their placement and look?

 

The ads are added by means of adsense deluxe. You upload the code on the admin panel and then you just add a little to the HTML of the post. I will explain to whomever buys the site.
