Now if you click on the top line (the part number) it takes you to a page which list your whole feed description, as well as competitor's pricing for the same thing. This was, uh, a little embarassing for me because on some of my products I just copied all the text from the corresponding web page whether it made good reading or not. I figured since you could only see the first few words, it wouldn't matter. . . Luckily most of my 271 products read OK still.
I find that sometimes this new feature works and sometimes it doesn't. It seems that if there is a lot of competition it works, but if there isn't the part number links directly to my web page. If there is competition the link shows not only my blurb but the competitors and their prices. best regards wiz
I'm not seeing anything like what you describe. Besides, not all items in Froogle have a part number.
Go to Froogle and type in Toshiba Satellite in the search line. Click on one of the part number, the top line which is a link from one of the results. (The second result shows it better). What you see is the same picture, the complete blurb and some competitor's pricing.
One of the items in the data feed is the "name." This name is often the part or model number, and it is what consists the first line of the results.
I have to agree with CR. I'm just not seeing what you are seeing. Are you sure that you did not click on a listing that compared the price of various Toshiba Satellite's?
Things at toshiba satellite have changed since yesterday but it still works. go to Froogle and type in toshiba satellite Click on the top line which says Toshiba Satellite M45-S355 /PSM40U-073001/ laptops This is the field that is called "name" in the feed. The link doesn't go to Euclid Computers, which is the result you just found. It goes to a type of price comparison page. Include is the following paragraph: Description from Euclid Computers: laptops Toshiba Satellite M45-S355 /PSM40U-073001/ Pentium M 750 1.86GHz 15.4 1280x800 100.0G 1024MBMB RAM DVD-Multiburner 56K Ethernet 10/100 802.11b/g 6.7lbs 1 year WXP Home This is from Euclid's feed, and it is the field called "description." Right? best regards wiz
