    * Big Changes
    This weekend there have been massive changes in yahoo results.

    * No Weather Report
    There has been no weather update yet in the yahoo blog.

    * Still Dancing
    It seems the washing machine is still spinning and the update isn't over yet, so I'm going to wait a day or too before I assume the serps are here to stay.

    Yeah I have seen sites disappearing or being reduced.. A little while okay I tried a half-a-dozen unique keywords/phrases for my sites and none of them showed up at all.

    Add to that the backlink reduction everyone is seeing as mentioned in another thread, and it definately seems things are a foot.

    And on the same day I find out a recently purchased domain was previously banned by Yahoo.

    I'm also noticing they are still displaying the Yahoo! logo at the top of the Yahoo homepage, and have directory where you can submit your site (but they charge for that now). I think maybe yahoo has not been updated all that much. I'm noticing Google is also rather similar to the way it was last year.

    There is absolutely no rhyme or reason behind the serp changes I'm seeing - what pages are up, what ones are down, what ones are showing for weird stuff.

    I'm not convinced this is intentional - could yahoo be broken?

    It may be....

    Indexed pages for www.lincolnvscadillac.com were reduced by 2/3s

    but the wierdest is www.forabodiesonly.com. Yahoo has screwed up most of the URLS See: Yahoo Indexed Pages the urls dont work!

    That is strange!!!!!!!!

    I agree. It seems like they've taken what was page 10 results, and put them on page 1.

    Very strange results for sure.

    What I'm noticing right now is Yahoo showing results from what appears to be a much smaller index. Terms that earlier this week would display "Results 1 -10 of about 10,000,000 for term" are now displaying "Results 1 - 10 of about 1,000,000 for term". Seems to be pretty much across the board, at least for all the phrases I've watched over time.

    edit - I just noticed that if you search for "coop ad network" in Yahoo it's saying there are only 1,020 pages available. I doubt this will last long. Google shows about 17,000,000 for the same search.

    Now that I hope!

    One of my sites got so severly penalized in May it receives zero yahoo traffic and if they have lost all data and should reindex everything, I'm confident in regaining my top10 rankings! :D

    We lost 15 different sites from the Yahoo index that all had top 5 listings for several keywords ;) Needless to say my boss is pretty pissed. Has anyone noticed any patterns in this yet?

    It looks like they are more aggressively dropping cross-linked sites.
